Staffing agency for Toronto employers

Admin, finance support, customer service and remote staff for Toronto offices, searched and screened from our Brampton office, one GO line from Union.

Staffira is a Brampton staffing agency that hires admin, accounting, customer service and remote staff for Toronto employers. You tell us the role on a short call, we search and screen, and you meet a handful of people who can actually do the job.

We don't have a Toronto office and we won't pretend to. We work from 181 Queen St E in Brampton, about a fifteen-minute walk from Brampton GO, which runs straight into Union Station on the Kitchener line. Most Toronto clients meet us by video call, and we come downtown or to your site when a face-to-face meeting makes the search better.

What makes hiring in Toronto different

Toronto is a big labour market split into very different pockets. Banks, insurers and law firms fill the Financial District. Tech and creative firms sit around King West and Liberty Village. North York has its own office cluster along Yonge Street, Etobicoke and Scarborough have large industrial and distribution areas, and every neighbourhood has clinics, property managers and family businesses. Each pocket competes for the same admin and finance people, at different pay and with different commutes.

The commute shapes almost every search. A receptionist role at King and Bay draws a different crowd from an accounts payable job off Highway 427, and a candidate who happily takes the GO train three days a week may say no to five. We ask about the travel early, so the people you meet have already said yes to the trip.

Roles we fill for Toronto employers

  • Front office: receptionists, office coordinators, executive assistants, admin assistants for small professional firms
  • Finance support: bookkeepers, AP and AR clerks, payroll and billing assistants, junior accounting staff
  • Client-facing roles: customer service reps, client success coordinators, inside sales support, appointment setters
  • Operations office staff for Etobicoke and Scarborough distributors: order entry, shipping coordinators, dispatch support
  • Fully remote staff for Toronto teams that no longer need everyone downtown

We don't recruit nurses, personal support workers, licensed trades, drivers or warehouse floor staff. If that is what you need, we will say so on the first call and save you the wait.

Hybrid and remote hiring from Toronto

Plenty of Toronto offices now run two or three days in the building. That changes who you can hire. A bookkeeper in Brampton or Mississauga can manage a hybrid downtown schedule, and a fully remote customer service rep can live anywhere in Ontario. We agree the in-office days in the brief and say them up front to every candidate, so nobody turns down an offer in week three over the schedule.

When a role is fully remote, we test for what remote work needs: written communication, the software you run, and a quiet place to take calls. When it is on site, we check that the commute works before you spend an hour in an interview.

Ontario rules Toronto employers often ask about

Larger Toronto employers tend to ask us about the newer Ontario workplace rules, so here is the short version. Employers with 25 or more staff need a written policy on disconnecting from work and a written policy on electronic monitoring of employees, both of which matter more when people work from home. Since 1 January 2026, their public job postings must also show the expected pay or pay range, say whether the vacancy is real and current, and disclose any AI used to screen applicants, and they can't require "Canadian experience". Interviewed candidates have to hear back within 45 days.

We draft our job briefs with those points in mind. Your lawyer or HR advisor still has the final say on your postings, policies and employment contracts.

How a Toronto search runs

  1. A 15-minute hiring call. Role, pay range, in-office days, start date and what good looks like after 90 days.
  2. A written brief. You approve it before we post or approach anyone.
  3. Sourcing. Our candidate network, job boards and referrals, with the commute or remote set-up checked early.
  4. Screening against the work. Software, volume, accuracy and how each person handles your kind of client or caller.
  5. Your shortlist. A few people with honest notes on each. You interview, you decide, and we help with the offer and check in after the first weeks.

Why a Brampton agency for a Toronto role

You get one person handling your search from start to finish, not a rotating desk. A lot of the people in our network live in Peel and already commute into Toronto, so on-site and hybrid roles downtown are familiar ground for them. For remote roles, where we sit doesn't matter at all.

We also hire for employers in Mississauga, Vaughan, Brampton and the rest of Ontario, and for U.S. teams. See all the areas we serve.
