CALEDON

Staffing agency for Caledon employers

Dispatch and safety admins, office managers, bookkeepers and order desk staff for Caledon employers, searched and screened from our Brampton office next door.

Staffira is a Brampton staffing agency that finds office staff for Caledon employers: dispatch and safety admins for trucking firms, office managers for landscaping and excavation companies, bookkeepers, order desk staff and receptionists. You tell us about the role on a short call, we search and screen, and you interview a small group of people who can do it.

Caledon is the town right above us. Our office at 181 Queen St E in Brampton is about 15 minutes from Mayfield West and roughly 25 minutes from Bolton or Caledon East by Highway 410, Highway 10 or Airport Road. We don't have a Caledon office, and we don't need one to meet you. Driving up to see your yard, shop or office is easy, and many clients prefer a video call for the first conversation anyway.

Who hires in Caledon

Caledon is big and spread out. Bolton has an industrial area full of manufacturers, distributors and building supply firms. The south end near Mayfield Road and Highway 50 has filled up with warehouses and trucking yards that serve the whole GTA. Further north, around Caledon East, Inglewood and Alton, you find landscaping, excavation, aggregate, snow removal and farm-related businesses, many of them owned by the same family for decades.

What these employers share is a small office doing a lot of work. A trucking company with forty trucks might run dispatch, safety files and billing from three desks. A landscaping firm's office books crews, chases quotes and invoices, and then in November switches to snow contracts. When one of those desks is empty, the owner ends up doing it at night. That is usually when they call us.

Roles we fill for Caledon employers

  • Trucking and logistics offices: dispatchers, dispatch assistants, safety and compliance admins who keep driver files, logs and inspection paperwork in order, billing clerks
  • Landscaping, excavation and contracting offices: office managers, scheduling and crew coordinators, estimating assistants, permit and paperwork admins
  • Bolton manufacturers and distributors: order entry, inside sales support, purchasing assistants, shipping and receiving coordinators
  • Finance support: bookkeepers, AP and AR clerks, payroll assistants, collections
  • Reception and general admin, plus remote bookkeeping or admin help for owners who don't have a spare desk

We don't recruit truck drivers, equipment operators, labourers or warehouse floor staff. If that's what you need, we'll say so on the first call so you can go to a specialist right away.

The commute decides more than the CV

Public transit is limited across most of Caledon, and many workplaces sit on rural roads or in industrial parks. For almost every Caledon role, the person needs a car and needs to be fine driving it in February. A strong candidate who lives in east Toronto and takes the bus is the wrong hire for a yard off Highway 50, however good the interview was.

So we ask about the drive early, before you spend time meeting anyone. Our network leans toward people in north Brampton, Bolton, Orangeville, Georgetown and northwest Vaughan, for whom a Caledon job is a short drive, often a shorter one than going into Toronto. Some of them are glad to trade a long commute for a local job.

Seasons and timing

Many Caledon businesses follow the weather. Landscaping and construction offices get busy from March, and snow removal companies need their office ready by the first storm. Trucking volumes have their own peaks. If you want a new person trained before the rush, start the search six to ten weeks ahead. We'll tell you on the first call how long a role like yours usually takes, and we won't promise a date we can't keep.

Seasonal work also shapes the job itself. Someone who runs a landscaping office in July has a very different week from the same person in January. We put both seasons in the brief, so candidates know what they're signing up for and you don't lose them when the work changes.

Quiet searches in a small community

In a town where owners know each other, word gets around fast. If you are replacing someone who still works for you, or hiring before you announce a change, we can run the search without naming your company until a candidate is serious. You decide when your name comes out.

Ontario hiring rules in short

If you have 25 or more employees, Ontario's posting rules apply to you. Since 1 January 2026, public job postings must show the expected pay or pay range, say whether the vacancy really exists, disclose any AI used to screen applicants and leave out Canadian-experience requirements, and you must answer interviewed candidates within 45 days. Our briefs follow those rules. Your lawyer or HR advisor has the final say on your postings and contracts.

How a Caledon search runs

  1. A 15-minute hiring call. The role, pay range, hours, start date, season and how the person will get to work.
  2. A written brief. Built from the work that actually lands on the desk. You approve it before we contact anyone.
  3. Sourcing. Our candidate network, job boards and referrals across Peel, Dufferin and northwest York Region.
  4. Screening against the work. The software you run, how each person handles a driver, crew lead or customer who needs an answer now, and the drive.
  5. Your shortlist. A few people with plain notes on each. You interview and decide. We help with the offer and check in after the first weeks.
